The System Technologies division (formally STEAG KETEK IT GmbH) develops and markets software for use in the power generation industry and provides related services. These IT-systems support the planning, operation, and maintenance of power plants as well as the monitoring and optimization of power generation processes. In addition, System Technologies offers special expertise in the field of communication technology.

Energy Management Systems
The engineers of the Energy Management Systems (EMS) department use
software systems to execute monitoring and optimization projects worldwide.
The projects are characterized by a detailed modeling of the respective
process. Typically, the installation, commissioning and acceptance tests on site
also belong to the scope of services as well as the training of the customer's
personnel. The technical expertise of the process and IT-engineers of the EMS department has been used to develop software systems which can be applied to various
tasks in the power generation business.

Operation Management Systems
The specialists of the Operation Management Systems (OMS) department
support and optimize the operation of power producing plants. The main focus
is on the technical aspects with proper mapping of the commercial impacts.
The outcome of many years of experience in this sector is the operation management
system SI® that is used in Evonik power plants and in plants of customers
in Germany and abroad.
The products of the OMS department will be delivered as turn-key solutions
which are well integrated into the customer's IT-environment. The specialists
of OMS will install and configure the operating systems and databases at the
customer site and integrate them into the customer's existing network.

Communication Technologies
The Communication Technologies department supplies, installs, and services communication, network, and security systems and components. It is
familiar with the operational requirements to be complied with in order to
ensure a homogenous infrastructure of lasting value. Apart from communication
and network systems, our range of services also comprises all aspects of
security systems such as fire alarm, access control, public-address and
closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems.
