Our Company

Evonik Energy Services GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of Evonik Steag GmbH, Germany's fifth-largest electricity generator, which, in turn, belongs to Evonik Industries. The company is headquartered in the city of Essen, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

For many years, Evonik Energy Services has stood for professional, expert energy services in Germany and abroad. As part of the Energy Business Unit of Evonik Industries, we carry out projects in many different areas. These include engineering services in the construction and modernization of all types of fossil fuel-fired power plants and nuclear power plants, plant management services, and IT solutions to optimize costs and processes. One example of our work is the construction of Europe's most advanced coal-fired power plant in Duisburg-Walsum, Germany, based on the concept that we developed — "Clean Competitive Electricity from Coal" (CCEC).

Our power plant engineering made in Germany is in demand throughout the world.
In India, we design and operate power plants. We also modernize and optimize existing plants. Our software is an integral part of many new power plants. In the United States, we are the supplier of choice for flue gas treatment systems.
Here, we operate the world's most advanced regeneration plant for power station catalysts.
